Today marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada which seek to acknowledge and commemorate the victims and survivors of Canada’s 140 federally-run residential schools. For many Canadians, myself included, there is still so much to learn about the residential school system and the systemic abuse that continues to carry on within the Indigenous population today. In my best efforts to explain … Continue reading National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

By Ways of Introduction; Hi, I’m CF!
I’d been meaning to get around to a post like this for a while, sorry for the epic delay on it. I’ll do my best to be brief here in the blog because I’ve otherwise also recorded an introduction video that ended up being like 2 hours almost for some reason. You can watch that here: What I talk about in the video: Getting started … Continue reading By Ways of Introduction; Hi, I’m CF!
“A Praise Chorus” Cover Song Series
I wasn’t necessarily planning to cover this song, nor do a 3 part take series of it, but here we are. I was actually just going to omit this acoustic cover entirely and focus only on the full-band version of this song as part of the Jaimee Eat World exclusive discography set, but every time I sucker out and skip a song on my Observatory … Continue reading “A Praise Chorus” Cover Song Series

Now that the leaves have fallen, we caught up with CF for a casual … Continue reading Interview: A Stroll With Crooked Forest
Streetlights
In all honesty I can’t even remember what it this was for. Probably just a random scene for a writing assignment or just some general writing for no reason at all. Circa 2005 or so, maybe? Not sure. I was probably listening to “Red” by Treble Charger at the time. “Here” she says, and lights a matchHe takes it and sticks it to the end … Continue reading Streetlights
The Robbery
From the CF archive, this is an old script for a short play I wrote sometime in 2005 or so, again, for school at the time. Enjoy! The Robbery ACT 1 | The Plan Enter Casey and Jordan in a deserted warehouse: Evening. JORDAN: So… what’s the plan? CASEY: What do you mean “what’s the plan?” We’ve been over it a thousand times! JORDAN: Right. … Continue reading The Robbery
