Today we’re featuring 18 Seconds and their new album Plat de résistance, a cinematic instrumental record as emotionally rich as it is delicate.
Influenced by artists like The Smashing Pumpkns and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, 18 Seconds is the solo project of Quebec-based composer Pascal Normand.
About the record: In a world shaken by turmoil, where violence and intolerance increasingly prevail, resistance becomes essential. With Plat de résistance, 18 Seconds draws us into a soundscape that is both dark and luminous. Balancing anxious textures with sparks of hope, the music unfolds like a cinematic post-rock journey where melancholy, intensity, and fragility coexist.
Listen or purchase the album on Bandcamp for a cool $7 CAD here.
