New Resource Link: Domestic Violence Prevention

We’ve added a new article and resource link to the mental health resources page.

This one comes to us after a reader reached out to us to share this article from OnlineMFTPrograms.com pertaining to domestic violence prevention written by Jessica White.

The resource covers signs of domestic violence, the common difficulties of escaping a domestic violence situation and steps you might want to take after you have found safe shelter.

The article also includes several phone numbers of organizations you can contact if you require help or guidance such as The National Domestic Violence Hotline who can be reached at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).

You can read the resource in full here or jump over to our Mental Health Resources page.

As the article is geared towards an American audience, if you are seeking assistance in Canada you can use the following links provided by Canada.ca:

ShelterSafe (for women and children)
Kids Help Phone (for youth and young adults)
Hope for Wellness Hotline (for Indigenous Peoples)
Intimate Partner Violence Against Men and Boys (for men and boys)

If you have a resource or article you would like to share that you believe would be helpful to our readership or as an addition to our mental health resources page, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us by e-mail.
