Full of poppy hooks and delightfully witty songwriting, The Campbell Apartment have graced us with their 8th studio album (510) and today we’re urging you to give it a spin.
Produced by Chris Dunn, it’s low-key production omits a lot of the shiney tricks we’ve been overwhelmed with in more recent releases and as such its sound is reminscent of mid-late 90’s power-pop which really serves the record well. It comes together with an effortless charm that we can’t help but think makes the songs even more endearing. We took to it quickly, feeling oddly nostalgic as we explored these tracks for the first time.
Settling in under 30minutes, “for those of us with raging ADHD,” frontman Ari Vais told us, (510) will send you on a wistful and almost retrospective journey that culminates with a sense of placating calmness.
But don’t take our word on any of this, here’s what Chris Collingwood of Fountains of Wayne had to say about it:
“At once chaotic, melodic and literate. A powerful set of songs, rendered expertly and passionately by one of my favorite songwriters. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.” – Chris Collingwood
