We wanted to quickly turn your attention to this very cool new series we checked out last night.

Kensington Unplugged is a brand new original artist series taking place on Tuesday nights at Supermarket in Kensington. Starting at 7PM and running until 11PM, every hour 4 different independent songwriters take the stage and one by one showcase original songs only (covers are forbidden here). Inspired by songwriter rounds in Nashville, this free series is one absolutely worth checking out.

A tip jar will eventually make the rounds if you’re able to support the performers with more than just your time and attention, but this series is really more about creating a unique intimate environment where the sole focus is the songs and songwriting; Strangely we don’t really see much of that in Toronto, so we’re delighted that this has surfaced.
