Pardon our delay but Skye Wallace literally broke the internet last week when this one was released and as an entirely online publication we were heavily impacted by the outage.

What Is Real? sees a bit of a departure from her usual fair, whereas 2022’s Terribly Good album found Skye in a country rock groove, it would appear that we’re seeing Skye enter more of a dance-pop realm in 2024. If you dug the vibe of last years Tough Kid, you’ll be into this one, too.

While the title suggests Skye’s posing the question, What Is Real? bluntly begins with a confident realization; “No one can tell me what is real” and we’re inclined to agree.

Speaking to the track, Wallace said, “I co-produced and co-wrote WIR with Hawksley Workman. Hawk and I played all the instruments on this track and it was mastered by the amazing Elisa Paengsang of CPS Mastering.”
