Your Rock Music Fix: Stuck on Planet Earth – Semi-Stable

Your rock music fix pick today comes from Vaughan, Ontario’s Stuck on Planet Earth and their brand new EP “Semi-Stable” released on July 28th.

Stuck on Planet Earth have been grinding it out longer than I can keep track – I first met and heard about them over 10 years ago and from my perspective, it’s been a slow steady climb for these guys (and as a fellow artist I have to imagine its felt even slower for them living it). It’s tough to break into the music industry – it’s tougher in Canada.

Most recently SOPE (they used to go by that, now they go by STUCK) supported new-mini-superduo Diividedby (Jason Parsons of Ubiquitious Synergy Seeker and Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace) at The Garrison in Toronto, and regrettably I missed the gig, but as someone who has been quietly following the band since we first crossed paths so many years ago, I’m stoked to see them get the opportunities they’ve been working so hard for and can already attest to their consistently strong live performances – so make sure you catch them when you get a chance to.

On a recent Instagram post to celebrate the release, STUCK said, “This collection of songs represents the raw, energetic essence of who we are right now. Semi-stable is a celebration of our vulnerabilities, and we’re happy it’s finally out into the world for the taking.”

Keep up with STUCK on their social media channels.
