Speaking of the inspiration behind the video, NCD said, “Tapes is the first track off Acceptance and it really sets the tone for the record, which is sort of like a new beginning for me as a solo artist and producer. Last night my electronic drum kit arrived in the mail and I threw up the camera to capture putting it together. I’ve never had an electronic drum it before and this is really the beginning days of me actually trying to become half-decent at drums, so it seemed to fit well as a music video. Everything I do is literally DIY so sometimes you have to think out of the Roland drum kit box a little bit.”
