I know I technically already put out a cover of Delivery from the Surviving record that you can read all about and listen to over on the original blog post BUT the truth is from the jump of that recording I wasn’t keen on where I was taking it and ultimately, wasn’t at all happy with the final presentation.
It had bits I liked, but it didn’t pop the way I really wanted it to, especially in the first chorus where I really felt like it needed to lift.
As a result I felt like the original cover dragged on a little, droning away like a sad funeral march when it should really be more of an epic uplifting and empowering track.
I think I’ve successfully hit that mark with today’s reissue. Check it out and let me know what you think!
What’s Next?
I’m going to take a couple days off because today culminates a 6-day recording blitz and my ears could use the rest, plus I have to like, call the CRA and deal with my taxes and stuff and try to find a new job again.
In case you missed them, this past week I also released these:
Hope you dig ’em and I’ll be back soon with more!
One More Thing….
If you haven’t heard yet about the Believe In What You Want Fundraiser in support of Canadian mental health services, please check it out at the blog below; If you’re a musician there are ways you can get involved and get featured on the culminating compilation album for this project set for release in 2022.
Okay, thanks! Se ya later!
