Our First House

A work in progress, putting together the demo for it right now, thought I’d share the lyrics with ya before I share a snippet of what it sounds like.

Sold on a dream
You never had and I didn’t need
Is this how you pictured love to be?
You can tell me

Met on a whim,
Out to waste the night
Fell for the smile
And the way the light hit his eyes
Couple of hopeless romantics
Made a pact at The Attic
Didn’t have a reason why
Wouldn’t let go without a fight

Didn’t have a plan
Just an idea implant
Thought if we carried through
We’d figure out what to do
So sweet
So naive
Too full of hope to see
It was always meant to be
But not with you and me

Went and found a house
North of where it hurt
It had charm and character
Meaning it needed a lot of work
A reflection of ourselves then
And our lack of self worth
Too tired to concede
Til the faults outweighed the need

Sold on a dream
You never had and I didn’t need
Is this how you pictured love to be?
Tell me honestly
