Tape Deck is a rock-based 10-song demo recording EP initially released on Bandcamp as individual singles beginning in September 2020 and then to all major streaming services. But, as we mentioned with A Quiet Place To Scream, the intention here has always been to re-record many of these songs and so they’ve since been pulled from most platforms.

Like AQP2S it jumps around genres, from acoustic-based folk to punk and everything in between. When I felt like I hadn’t appropriately showcased the genre’s I wanted to dabble in for my full-length debut, these were the ones that I felt best filled that void. They were all recorded in the same manner as AQP2S and largely still in my old King City home, which means they’re lo-fi and pretty gritty.

Towards the tail end of this release I made the move back to Vaughan, Ontario which is where we pick up with the Roots EP.
